Born in Rotterdam to parents from Santiago, Cabo Verde, the full-back made his name in Germany with Viktoria Köln before moving to Portugal in the summer of 2025, signing a three-year deal with Estrela da Amadora.
An outstanding first half of the season, in which he scored five league goals including a hat-trick against Casa Pia, convinced Benfica to act: on 30 December 2025 he signed until June 2030 for a reported initial fee of six million euros. He made his debut days later and marked it with an assist in a 3-1 victory.
A Cabo Verde international since 2023, Cabral was part of the squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he scored a memorable curling equaliser against Argentina in the round of 32. His older brother, Rodny Lopes Cabral, is also a Cabo Verde international.
In June 2026 he left the Estádio da Luz for Trabzonspor.
