Raised in Aljustrel, the left-back began playing at hometown club SC Mineiro Aljustrelense before joining the Benfica academy in 2017, growing up through the club's youth teams at the Caixa Futebol Campus.
Neto stepped up to Benfica B in 2025 and has since been handed his first involvements with the senior side.
His breakthrough came with Portugal, for whom he has been capped at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level. In 2025 he was part of the golden generation that completed a remarkable double, winning the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Albania and then the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Qatar.
