Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli is an Italian professional football club from Naples, founded in 1926 as Associazione Calcio Napoli. It plays at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, the large municipal ground in the Fuorigrotta district renamed in 2020 in honour of the Argentine who defined the club's golden age.
Napoli won its first two Serie A titles in 1987 and 1990 with Maradona, along with the UEFA Cup in 1989, the only European trophy in its history. After bankruptcy and a restart in the third tier in 2004, the club rebuilt steadily and returned to the summit, taking the Scudetto in 2023 and again in 2025. It has also won six Coppa Italia titles. Napoli competes in Serie A and is famed for the intensity of its support.
