Signed in the summer of 2026 to reinforce the centre of the defence, the France international arrived from Atlético de Madrid, initially on loan with an obligation to buy that will tie him to the Eagles until 2029.
Born in Beauvais, Lenglet came through at Nancy, where he broke into the first team as a teenager and was a key figure in the 2015/16 Ligue 2 title-winning side that earned promotion to Ligue 1. In January 2017 he moved to Sevilla, and eighteen months and 73 appearances later he joined Barcelona, where he won LaLiga in 2018/19 and the Copa del Rey in 2020/21. Loan spells followed at Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa before he joined Atlético de Madrid in 2024, making the move permanent in 2025.
A left-footed centre-back with more than 60 UEFA Champions League appearances to his name, he has been capped by France at senior level since 2019 and was part of the squad for UEFA Euro 2020.
