Tiago Gouveia arrived at Benfica's academy in 2017, having taken his first steps at Tires and passed through Sporting CP's youth setup, and made his debut for the B team in the second division in November 2019.

Born in Cascais, the winger, who can also be deployed at right-back, made his first-team debut in April 2022 and spent 2022/23 on loan at Estoril, where he made thirty appearances, scoring five goals and providing six assists. That form earned him a five-year contract extension in July 2023 and a place in the Benfica squads that lifted the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira in 2023 and 2025.

He spent the 2025/26 season on loan in Ligue 1 with Nice, reaching the Coupe de France final, before returning to the Estádio da Luz in the summer of 2026.
