Casper Tengstedt came through at Midtjylland and had spells with Nürnberg's reserve side and Horsens before a productive season at Rosenborg in Norway, where he was twice named the Eliteserien's player of the month. Benfica signed him in January 2023.

He is a right-footed centre-forward of the target-man type, strong in the air and effective with his movement inside the penalty area.

Having fallen out of the first-team picture in Lisbon, he spent 2024/25 on loan at Hellas Verona in Serie A, where he was the club's main striker and a regular starter. He returned to Benfica in the summer of 2025 before joining Feyenoord.

He won the Primeira Liga with Benfica in 2022/23 and has represented Denmark at youth level.
