Signed at the end of August 2025, the Ukraine international attacking midfielder arrived on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal carrying a mandatory purchase obligation.

Born in Brianka, Sudakov took his first steps at Sokil Brianka and Metalist Kharkiv before joining Shakhtar's academy in 2017. He made his senior debut in the UEFA Champions League and was part of the Shakhtar side that famously beat Real Madrid in October 2020. Across six seasons in Donetsk he made close to 150 appearances, scoring 35 goals and winning two Ukrainian Premier League titles and two Ukrainian Cups.

He made his Benfica debut in September 2025 and scored his first goal for the club shortly afterwards against AVS, quickly becoming an influential figure in the side under José Mourinho.

An established senior international, Sudakov has represented Ukraine at UEFA European Championship finals and was joint top scorer at the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
