Hugo Félix, the younger brother of João Félix, was linked to Benfica from 2015/16 and joined the club's academy from Viseu as an under-12, signing his first professional contract in 2020. He was part of the side that won the UEFA Youth League in 2021/22.

He is a small, right-footed attacking midfielder who can also play as a right winger.

In 2024/25 he was primarily a Benfica B player, appearing more than 30 times in Liga Portugal 2, and he made his senior first-team debut in April 2025 as a substitute in the Taça de Portugal semi-final against Tirsense at the Estádio da Luz. It was his only first-team appearance of the season.

He has represented Portugal from under-15 to under-21 level and was named in the Team of the Tournament at the 2023 European Under-19 Championship.
