Andrea Belotti built his reputation in Italy, moving from AlbinoLeffe to Palermo and then to Torino, where he spent seven seasons as the club's leading striker. Spells at Roma, on loan at Fiorentina and then at Como followed, and in February 2025 Como loaned him to Benfica for the remainder of the season.

He is an aggressive, physical centre-forward, a right-footed number nine who presses relentlessly and attacks crosses in the box.

Having played the first half of 2024/25 in Serie A with Como, he made 24 appearances for Benfica after the winter window and scored four goals, three in the Primeira Liga and one in the Taça de Portugal. He arrived after the Taça da Liga final had been played, and returned to Como when the loan expired.

He won Euro 2020 with Italy, for whom he has been capped at senior level since 2016.
