CompareShare CardA Swiss international of Bosnian descent, Haris Seferović began at Grasshopper Zürich and spent his early career in Italy with Fiorentina and on loan at Neuchâtel Xamax, Lecce and Novara, before a season at Real Sociedad and three at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he won the DFB-Pokal in 2018.
Benfica signed him in July 2017. A left-footed centre-forward who worked the channels and finished with either foot, he became the club's leading striker over five seasons, scoring 23 league goals in 2018-19 as Benfica won the Primeira Liga and adding the Supertaça in 2019 and the Taça da Liga. He passed 250 appearances and 90 goals in all competitions, and remains one of the more prolific foreign forwards of the club's recent history.
His final season, 2021-22, brought reduced returns and in July 2022 he was loaned to Galatasaray, then in January 2023 to Celta de Vigo, before his Benfica contract ran to its end in the summer of 2023.
He then moved to the United Arab Emirates with Al Wasl, followed by a short spell at Al Nasr in 2025.
