About the Club
Sevilla Futbol Club was founded on 25 January 1890 in Seville, Andalusia, and is one of the oldest clubs devoted solely to football in Spain. The team plays at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium in the Nervion district, a ground of roughly 43,000 seats renowned as one of the most intimidating atmospheres in Spanish football, and shares a fierce city rivalry with Real Betis in the derby sevillano.

Domestically Sevilla have won La Liga once, in 1945-46, along with five Copa del Rey titles and a Spanish Super Cup. Their modern reputation, however, rests on an extraordinary record in Europe: seven UEFA Cup and Europa League triumphs between 2006 and 2023 make them by far the competition's most successful club, a run that also brought the UEFA Super Cup in 2006. The side continues to compete in La Liga.
