Clube de Regatas do Flamengo was founded on 17 November 1895 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, originally as a rowing club, and plays in red and black striped shirts. The club competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and stages its home matches at the Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, better known as the Maracanã. Flamengo have won three Copa Libertadores titles (1981, 2019, 2022), the 1981 Intercontinental Cup, seven Brazilian championships and five Copa do Brasil titles.
