Description
Part of the Complexo Desportivo Municipal de Rio Maior in the Santarém district, this compact municipal stadium was built in 2002 to a design by António Domingues and inaugurated in 2003. It sits within a wider sports campus that includes training pitches used by Portugal's youth national teams, an Olympic pool and indoor halls.
UD Rio Maior are the resident club, but the ground is best known as a stand-in home for clubs whose own stadiums fail licensing: Sporting CP B, UD Vilafranquense and, since 2023, Casa Pia AC. Its record crowd of 7,051 came against Benfica in January 2025.
