Opened in 1937 and rebuilt several times, most extensively for Euro 2016 when a curved roof was added over all four sides, the Vélodrome is the second-largest club ground in France. Its steep stands and the Virage Nord and Virage Sud ultras sections make it one of the loudest venues in Europe.
The naming rights passed from Orange to the regional savings bank CEPAC in July 2026, so the official title is now CEPAC Vélodrome, though locals and broadcasters still simply say the Vélodrome. Rugby and international fixtures are also staged there.
