Description
Villarreal have played on this site since 1923, when it opened as the Campo del Villarreal. For most of its life it was known as El Madrigal; the club renamed it Estadio de la Cerámica in 2017 as a nod to the tile industry that dominates the town.
A compact ground hemmed in by streets, it has been modernised in phases, with recent work on entrances, concourses and safety to meet UEFA and LaLiga standards. Usable capacity has been held near 21,000 during the works and the club expects to clear 22,000 again for 2026-27.
