Description
Opened in March 1937 on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas, Stadion Feijenoord is universally known as De Kuip, "the Tub", after its steep two-tier bowl that traps noise above the pitch. The design was revolutionary for its time and widely copied across Europe.

A 1994 modernisation took the listed capacity to roughly 51,000, although safety rules mean fewer seats are sold for many matches. It has also staged Dutch national team fixtures and several European finals, and plans for a replacement arena were abandoned in 2022, leaving De Kuip as Feyenoord's home for the foreseeable future.
