Marcelo Gazella Hermes is a Brazilian left-back who came through Grêmio and played for their first team from 2015. Benfica signed him in January 2017 on a contract to 2021, and he was initially registered with Benfica B before making a single first-team appearance. He was loaned to Cruzeiro for 2018. In January 2019 Cruzeiro signed him permanently on a two-year deal and immediately loaned him to Goiás; he later played for Marítimo, Ponte Preta, Criciúma and Juventude.
