José Pedro Jesus Santa Precatado Marques, known simply as Precatado, was born in Lousã on 6 December 2004. He began at Académica de Coimbra's under-15 side before joining Benfica's academy in 2019, where he came through the under-17, under-19 and under-23 teams.

A small, right-footed winger of 1.74 m who was deployed on both flanks, Precatado was integrated into the Benfica B squad from August 2022 and remained with the reserve side in the Liga Portugal 2 for two seasons, combining that with under-23 football and wearing the number 57 shirt. He was not used by the first team, and his record for the reserves was modest.

In July 2024 he signed for Mafra on a long contract running to 2029, playing initially for the club's under-23 side before establishing himself in the senior squad.
