Rodrigo Cunha Pereira de Pinho was born in the German town of Henstedt-Ulzburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, but was raised in Brazil and is Brazilian by nationality. He turned professional with Bangu in 2011 and passed through several Rio de Janeiro clubs, including Madureira, before strong Campeonato Carioca form earned him a move to Portugal with Braga in 2015.

He established himself at Marítimo, whom he joined in June 2017, scoring 39 goals in 118 appearances over four seasons and becoming one of the more productive strikers in the Primeira Liga. Benfica signed him on a five-year contract on 23 June 2021 as a free agent, but his first season ended almost before it began: he ruptured a cruciate ligament after three matches and one goal.

He returned to fitness during 2022/23, making seven official first-team appearances under Roger Schmidt plus two for Benfica B, but remained behind Gonçalo Ramos and João Mário in the attacking hierarchy. On 29 December 2022 Benfica sold him to Coritiba of the Brazilian Série A for a reported 2.5 million euros.
