Born in Switzerland to a family of Albanian origin, Adrian Bajrami joined Benfica's academy from Young Boys in 2018 and signed his first professional contract the following year. He came through the youth teams and Benfica B, and was promoted to the first-team squad for the start of 2024/25.

A left-footed centre-back who can also cover at left-back, he is a tall, physical defender.

His senior involvement in 2024/25 was limited: he made one brief Primeira Liga appearance while continuing to play regularly for the B team in Liga Portugal 2. He was part of the squad that won the Taça da Liga, and in December 2024 he signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2029.

He made his senior international debut for Albania in June 2022, having previously played youth football for Switzerland.
