Raúl Alonso Jiménez Rodríguez is a Mexican striker who came through Club América and joined Atlético Madrid in 2014. Benfica signed him on 13 August 2015 on a five-year contract after a proposed move to West Ham United fell through on medical grounds. Over three seasons he made 120 appearances and scored 31 goals, winning two Primeira Liga titles, the Taça de Portugal and the Taça da Liga, in which he was joint top scorer in 2015-16. On 12 June 2018 he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan for 3 million euros; Wolves exercised the purchase option in April 2019 for a club-record 30 million pounds.
