João Rafael de Brito Teixeira is a Portuguese central midfielder who came through Benfica's youth system and played mainly for Benfica B from 2013, making two senior appearances for the first team. He was loaned out repeatedly, to Vitória de Guimarães, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest and Vitória de Setúbal. In July 2018 he left Benfica permanently, signing a four-year contract with Chaves. He later played for Al-Markhiya, Rio Ave and Gil Vicente before returning to Chaves.
