João António Antunes Carvalho is a Portuguese attacking midfielder who joined Benfica's academy at the age of eight and made his professional debut for Benfica B in January 2015. He spent part of 2017 on loan at Vitória de Setúbal, where he made his Primeira Liga debut and scored against Porto. He returned to feature nine times for the Benfica first team in 2017-18, including in the Champions League. On 14 June 2018 he signed a five-year contract with Nottingham Forest for a club-record fee of about 13.2 million pounds.
