Erdal Rakip is a midfielder born in Malmö who came through Malmö FF's academy and played for the first team from 2013. He joined Benfica in January 2018 as a free agent after his Malmö contract expired, and was immediately loaned to Crystal Palace for the remainder of 2017-18, where he did not appear in a competitive match. He returned to Lisbon but never played for Benfica's first team. On 11 February 2019 he rejoined Malmö FF for a reported 500,000 euros, with Benfica retaining a share of any future sale.
