Armindo Tué Na Bangna, universally known as Bruma, returned to the summit of Portuguese football when he signed for Benfica in February 2025 on a contract until June 2028.
Born in Bissau and raised in Portugal, he was formed at Sporting CP, where he broke through as a teenage prodigy before a big-money move to Galatasaray in 2013. A well-travelled career followed, taking in Real Sociedad, RB Leipzig, PSV Eindhoven, Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe and SC Braga, and yielding honours that include the Süper Lig, Turkish Cups, the KNVB Cup and the Greek championship.
His time at the Estádio da Luz was disrupted by a ruptured Achilles tendon sustained in the Eusébio Cup of July 2025, an injury that kept him out for most of the 2025/26 season before he returned to competitive action in February 2026.
A Portugal international, Bruma won the Silver Shoe at the 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup after scoring five goals in four matches, and has since been capped by the senior Seleção.
