Lucas Veríssimo da Silva was formed at Santos, where he debuted in 2015 and made more than 150 appearances, reaching the 2020 Copa Libertadores final and earning a call-up to the Brazil senior squad.

Benfica signed him in January 2021 for a reported fee of around six million euros. A quick, right-footed centre-back who was comfortable stepping out with the ball, he made his debut in the UEFA Europa League on 18 February 2021 and played 17 matches with two goals in his first half-season. He was a regular in 2021-22, appearing 18 times and scoring three, including in the Champions League.

A serious knee injury sustained in early 2022 disrupted his progress, and in 2022-23 he was limited to six appearances and barely a hundred minutes as the club won the Primeira Liga. He ended with 41 official matches and five goals for Benfica.

He was loaned to Corinthians in July 2023 and then to Al-Duhail of Qatar, who signed him permanently in January 2024. He later played for Al Wakrah before returning to Santos in March 2026.
