Fábio Pereira Baptista, generally known as Fabinho, was born in Lisbon and joined Benfica in July 2019 after being formed elsewhere in the Lisbon region. A right back, he progressed through the club's under-23 side before establishing himself in the B team in the Liga Portugal 2.

He made 42 appearances for Benfica B across the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, scoring once, and was capped by Portugal at under-20 level. He was never called upon by the first team in a competitive fixture.

With his path to the senior squad blocked, Benfica agreed a permanent transfer to Sint-Truidense VV of the Belgian First Division A, effective 1 July 2022. The move to Belgium was short-lived and he returned to Portugal with Leixões in 2023 and later Mafra, before moving to Romanian football with Farul Constanța in February 2025.
