Martim Neto joined Benfica's academy as a boy and progressed through the youth ranks, winning the UEFA Youth League in 2021/22 and the Under-20 Intercontinental Cup in the same year. He spent 2023/24 on loan at Gil Vicente in search of senior minutes.

He is a central midfielder with a technical, passing-oriented game and a taste for progressive play through the middle.

Neto returned to Benfica for pre-season in 2024 but was loaned out again, joining Rio Ave in early September 2024 for the remainder of 2024/25. He made no first-team appearances for Benfica during the season and was sold to Elche in the summer of 2025.

He has represented Portugal at youth level.
