About the Club
Turn- und Sportgemeinschaft 1899 Hoffenheim traces its origins to 1899 and is based in the village of Hoffenheim, a district of Sinsheim in Baden-Württemberg. Backed by software entrepreneur Dietmar Hopp, the club climbed from the amateur leagues to the Bundesliga in 2008 and moved into the purpose-built PreZero Arena in Sinsheim the following year. Its best top-flight result is third place in 2017–18, which earned a first UEFA Champions League group-stage appearance.
