Centro Desportivo de Fátima was formally constituted on 24 January 1966 in Fátima, in the municipality of Ourém, district of Santarém, growing out of the earlier Centro Paroquial de Fátima. The club plays at the Estádio Papa Francisco, a municipal ground holding about 1,545 spectators. In 2024-25 Fátima competed in Série C of the Campeonato de Portugal; historically its highest point was reaching the second-tier Liga de Honra in 2007 and knocking FC Porto out of the 2007-08 Taça da Liga on penalties.
