Description
Burnley moved to Turf Moor in February 1883 and have never left, making it the second-longest continuously occupied ground in English professional football. The compact, four-sided stadium holds just under 22,000 and is made up of the Bob Lord Stand, the Cricket Field Stand, the North Stand and the Jimmy McIlroy Stand.

Its name comes from the moorland turf on which it was laid out, and the neighbouring cricket club still gives one end its title. The tight bowl and steep terraced-era sightlines have long given Burnley one of the more intimidating atmospheres in the north-west.
