Description
Atalanta's ground opened in December 1928 on the site of a former racecourse and is still widely called the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, or simply the Stadio di Bergamo.
Commercial deals have changed its title twice in recent years: it was the Gewiss Stadium from 2019 until 2025, and since August 2025 it has carried the name New Balance Arena. Atalanta bought the venue in 2017 and rebuilt it in stages between 2019 and 2024, replacing both curves with steep covered stands close to the pitch and taking capacity to a little over 23,000.
