Stadiums

Home of C.F. Estrela da Amadora, the Estádio José Gomes sits in the Reboleira district of Amadora, on the western edge of the Lisbon conurbation. Work on the ground began in the 1930s but it was only formally inaugurated in 1957, and it is still widely known simply as the Estádio da Reboleira.
Owned by the city of Amadora, it is a compact, tightly enclosed ground with the pitch pressed close to the stands, which gives it an intense, old-fashioned atmosphere that stands out among Primeira Liga venues. It returned to top-flight duty when Estrela were promoted in 2023, and the club has since floated plans to replace it on the same site with a larger multi-purpose arena.
