Filipe Miguel Nicolácia da Cruz, born on 19 February 2002, is a right-back who spent his entire formative career at Benfica, signing a formation contract in February 2018 and renewing in February 2021.
He was one of the longest-serving players of the Benfica B era, appearing for the reserve side in five consecutive seasons between 2020/21 and 2024/25 and totalling 66 matches and three goals in Liga Portugal 2. His busiest campaigns were 2021/22 and 2022/23, with 24 appearances in each. Quick and willing to overlap, he was occasionally used further forward on the right, but he was never given a first-team appearance by Benfica.
His contract ran down in 2025 and in August of that year he signed for FC Felgueiras 1932, becoming a regular in Liga Portugal 2. He was capped by Portugal at every youth level from under-16 to under-20, making nine appearances for the under-20 side.
