Fluminense Football Club was founded on 21 July 1902 in the Laranjeiras district of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and plays in vertical stripes of grená (burgundy), green and white. The club competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and plays its home matches at the Maracanã, having historically been based at the Estádio das Laranjeiras. Fluminense have won four Brazilian championships, the 2007 Copa do Brasil, 33 Campeonato Carioca titles and the Copa Libertadores in 2023.
