Clube Desportivo Lajense was founded on 1 April 1924 in Lajes do Pico, on Pico island in the Azores, and is the oldest football club on the island; it is recognised by the Azorean government as an institution of public utility. The club plays at the Campo de Jogos Municipal das Lajes do Pico, opened in February 2008, and competes under the Associação de Futebol da Horta. In 2024-25 Lajense took part in the Campeonato de Futebol dos Açores, the archipelago-wide regional championship.
