Torino Football Club is an Italian club from Turin, Piedmont, founded on 3 December 1906 when Football Club Torinese merged with a breakaway group of Juventus members led by the Swiss businessman Alfred Dick. The club plays in maroon, the shade known in Italy as granata, and takes its badge and nickname from a rampant bull, the symbol of the city.

Torino have won seven Italian championships, five of them claimed by the legendary Grande Torino side of the 1940s that also supplied the bulk of the national team. That era ended with the Superga air disaster of May 1949, in which almost the entire squad was killed, an event still commemorated annually by the club and its supporters. Torino also hold the Coppa Italia five times and contest one of Italy's fiercest derbies, the Derby della Mole, with city rivals Juventus. Home matches are played at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
